Q. Does the villa have a maximum number of travelers that can stay?A. Yes. As a general rule, the maximum occupancy of the villa rental can be determined by allowing two people per bedroom. Horizon for rent with 3 bedrooms, for example, would allow up to 6 guests, and with 4 bedrooms would allow up to 8 guests. Horizon can be rented as a 3 or 4 bedroom villa only. If the villa is rented as a 3 bedroom the fourth bedroom, which is located down stairs, is kept locked for the duration of the rental. Q. Are rental rates on the website listed per person or per night?A. Horizon lists the rental prices per night for the entire villa at full occupancy level. This means that the price you see is how much your combined travel party will have to pay per night for the villa. Horizon, rented with 3 bedrooms might be listed at $400 USD per night. This cost could then be divided by the vacation villa rental capacity of 6 guests (remember it has 3 bedrooms which allows up to 6 guests). Q. Why do rates for the villa have a high and low season period?A. Caribbean weather is beautiful year round, the difference between high and low season is simply price. There's a greater demand for a Barbados luxury villa rental in the winter when more people want a Caribbean villa for rent, therefore the price of travel is more expensive. A Barbados villa rental is less expensive in the other half of the year when less people are traveling to the Caribbean islands. Generally, the high season price for a Barbados villa rental begins mid-December and continues until mid-April. The low season lasts from mid-April to mid-December. Keep in mind that luxury villas will post special holiday rates during the holiday season. Please also note that for special events held in the island, e.g. Cricket & Golf World Cups, the rates for these periods will generally be higher. Q. Are there additional costs at the Villa that we should factor into our trip expenses?A. Renting this villa is no different than any other travel adventure, in that a villa for rent can include additional costs. So that you feel more prepared for your travel experience, let us review some of the additional costs you might encounter: Luxury villa deposits: Security, damage, or telephone deposits will be required for this vacation villa rental. This is not exactly a cost, as all deposits are refundable so long as there's no damage to the villa or outstanding phone bills, however it will account for some initial output, if paid in cash. However, this is usually covered by an open credit card (Visa or MasterCard) Additional services for the villa rental: The cost of all meals therefore will be to the responsibility of the guests. We offer a range of additional services which include food delivery to the villa prior to the guests' arrival, airport transfers, Cook, Chef, Laundress, Nanny and car rentals. These should all be arranged prior to arrival. Q. Does the villa rental come with a full staff?A. No. Horizon is offered self catered. The villa rental includes maid service three times per week, pool and garden maintenance. We can staff the villa on request, for a additional fee, which can include a Chef or Cook, Laundress, additional housekeeping or private security. This would have to be arranged in advance. Q. How do we get to the villa after we arrive on the island?A. We recommend that guest transfers be arranged with us prior to arrival on the island. Alternatively you may arrange your own transport and follow the directions from the airport posted on our website. We must advise that trying to find an address in a foreign country is never a good way to begin a vacation! Q. Does the villa have its own swimming pool or is it a shared pool?A. Horizon has its own private 11,000 gallon swimming pool, located 10 feet from the Living/Dining room. Please see our floor plan layout in the Photo Gallery tab for the exact location. Q. What time do we check-out from the villa on the day of departure?A. Check-out from the villa is 12 noon on the day of departure. However, if you require a later check-out, this should be requested prior to your arrival so that arrangements can be made, if possible. The standard rate for the later check-out is 50% of the nightly rate. |
