We have thoroughly enjoyed all the facilities offered, especially the pool and music deck. We certainly could not have wished for anymore home comforts! Over the past week we have toured your beautiful island enjoying all the restaurants, especially the Fish Pot; the scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming with the turtles not to mention the Oistins experience! So a big "Thank You" Adrian, Michelle & Amnada for lending us your wonderfully peaceful villa. We would love to return quite soon. August 14 - 21, 2011 Seven female friends stayed at Villa Horizon from July 28 - August 13, 2011 for a 30th birthday party. We can all say that we could not have expected anything better than Villa Horizon. Perfect location, perfect house, everything was absolutely perfect! We ventured out to Crane Beach, Bottom Bay, Rockley Beach & Bathsheba but at times was difficult to drag ourselves away from the pool deck where many hours were spent liming away. The movies and music on the Apple TV unit were a nice bonus. Flight out today and we have to leave a bit early to fit shopping in our way out. It was unfortunate that we did not have an icemaker or dishwasher that worked but the island is lovely and we had eight ladies who enjoyed all there was to offer. We used a fantastic driver “Curtis” Watson of “Curtis Taxi Services” who took us all over the island and was very reasonable. He even took some of us to see his gardens, which was featured in the local newspaper. Try Beach Club for lunch and Ragamuffins for dinner, both great. Nestled in the hillside near Holetown sits Villa Horizon, amongst the chirping frogs, fluttering hummingbirds and other beautiful birds. The villa is comfortable, very spacious and beautifully designed. There are plenty of gorgeous places to sit and watch the sky, the flora or the horizon. We loved the location, it feels very private but is super close to beaches, restaurants and whatever you might need. The snorkeling at Folkestone was quite good, our favourite fish, the parrot fish were in abundance and as many different species. We liked eating at Zaccios, it was kid friendly ( but perfectly romantic with torch lighting) the food was fresh and too expensive. Thanks again. - Linda Gillespie & Brandon Jordan - Brooklyn, New York, - April 17 - 24, 2008 We had a terrific time due in no short measure to the attentiveness of you and Michelle and the quality of the overall service you provide. Amanda did a great job although I understand she has gone back home now. Jason was a great driver and the hire car company most efficient. The villa is excellent in its layout and amenities. Its best attribute however is its position. Close to the coast but it has a great feeling of solitude and a great view. We saw the Queen Mary 2 arrive and leave in all its fully illuminated glory while we were there. Maggie and I think that, although your web site is very good, you undersell the villa's position. The pictures are good, but you might like to consider the one I have attached, which we think does the place full justice. Just a few very minor quibbles. That beep never got resolved and we could not see how to get regular channels (CBS, ABC, local TV etc) on the TV. We could not find the iPod charger ourselves so it must have been missing before we arrived. We did mention this to Michelle one time on the phone. But these are very minor and we are looking back on a memorable trip and stay and intend to come back as soon as time , money and air miles allow. - Christopher & Maggie Whymark - April 9 - 16, 2008 Wonderful week in a beautiful villa. Whilst emailing from the UK, we were so impressed with the professional response we received. On arrival, what a delight! Beautiful bedding, towels, luxury which so many people get wrong. It is truly a 5-star accommodation and the help and quality during our stay was excellent. I always look for a holiday that offers at least as good as I have at home (my standards are very high and I am an interior designer) and this villa easily comes up to standard. Amanda is an excellent housekeeper. We have enjoyed our stay with you and thanks to Michelle, we are hoping to buy something on the island. You are very professional, and the first impression was this, the quality of your help and standard did not drop at all. This has been made even better by the exceptionally high standard of Villa Horizon, which is ideally located for magnificent beaches, shops and restaurants. Adrian’s preparations and concern for us during Hurricane Dean made us feel very safe. Amanda is a delight to have around the villa, inconspicuous but efficient. She keeps the villa immaculate and represents the welcoming face of Barbados. Swimming with the turtles is highly recommended. You have the most beautiful sea for swimming, so warm and calm. The Fish Pot was a great place to eat. A drive to the East Coast of the island is highly recommended. We will be passing on information about the villa to family and friends. Amanda manages to keep it immaculate and Adrian has been most helpful both before and throughout our stay. Brilliant location with easy access to the west Coast, yet peaceful and quiet. We recommend the 5 hour sailing trip with Cool Runnings, snorkeling with the turtles, lunch and a crew who are great. Also, Ragamuffins on a Sunday night at 9. 15pm for a drink and to watch the brilliant floor show!
